^^^ Same here, now that I finally have a tractor with AC I let Jack drive the old open deck tractors. And I had to convert the 91 and 93 from R12 to R134A, I like having working AC. You can get a cheap vacuum pump off fleabay then get a decent set of gauges. Rural King has (American made) R134a on sale for $3.99, that's as cheap as I've seen it anywhere.

I have an old set of gauges a fitter buddy of mine gave me when he retired. I bought a vacuam pump from harbor freight. I have used it 3 or 4 times and it seems to do a nice job. Farm and Fleet has the 134 stuff on sale couple times a summer and I go over and get about 10 cane when its 3.99. I also bought a 20 pound can for 60 bucks when it was on sale somewhere. Nice to have the big can when doing a complete fill on a bigger tractor.

EPA changed up the law a year or two ago, now the only way to buy large jugs is to have a license. Have always had to have the license to buy any other refrigerant but now they added in 134 for some reason. I know there is places that sell online but who knows what youre getting. $3.99 is cheap though, its never under $7 around here. 30# jug goes for $130-$150 from my supplier. Cheaper than the old r22 for sure. Last jug of that cost me just under $500.

Went and picked up a new toy today, 92 Ultra Classic. Been a long time since I sold my last one, good thing it's just like riding a bike.
