i prefer archoil to most things if you have new injectors chances are they will work like ew injectors.
the advantage there with the archoil is they should continue to act like new injectors longer.
in my truck with 180k on the injectors i can feel a difference when i run archoil vs when i dont.
but the sea foam seemed to help above that as far as cleaning things up. my injectors wee suspect when i got the truck...i have 75k on them since then and they are smoother quieter and the truck runs better now than it did then
in summer i will run a gallon or two of veggie oil and that really helps clean things out too. but be damn sure after that tank you change the filter because it really does clean stuff out.
i have tried a number of additives and the best two i think are the archoil and sea foam
but every truck runs different gets different additives in the fuel and reacts to things differently so...

What's the goal of using archoil or rev-x in a PSD beyond an '07. I get it for the HEUI systems, but what do you gain in a common rail?

I drive a Powerstroke, its not stock.

Detergents and enhanced lubrication....Is it necessary with modern oils? I guess that's up to you to decide.

I'm thinking if it helps HEUI injectors work more smoothly even when running synthetic oil, it has to be doing something.

My concern with the DPF engines (my 2012 Jetta TDI) is more about the temps the oil is dealing with and clean fuel. I don't know that there is enough detergent in any oil or additive to keep a DPF engine's oil "clean". Helped a friend with the first oil change in his brand new 2019 - that was easily the blackest oil I have ever seen.

Anyway, I'm preemptive with my oil/filter changes, so I'm never going to split hairs over oils and additives. On the Jetta, I just use a good oil and change it early. For my 6.0, good oil - the added archoil is for injector life. I hope...

...and with that, I'm done talking oil no need to hijack this into an oil discussion

I have run the archoil fuel additive in my carbureted motorcycle. When I stopped on the road and fueled up but did not add additive, I could hear the difference on how it idles after driving a hundred yards.

I use the fuel additive in everything I have that's gasoline powered, not sure it's doing anything - all are fuel injected minus my generator, which I'm not sure it has helped considering I have to take the carb off and clean it again.

Use Stanadyne in the diesels

Any of your small engines, lawn mowers weed wackers chainsaws gensets, use premium no alcohol fuel and 99% of your gummed up carbs won't ever happen again. Something about the alcohol in the fuel that makes the fuel break down much more quickly. It isn't a problem in a machine that is run everyday but when it only runs for a few hours and then since for several weeks or months you get residue buildup that will clog the Jets. For the most part, when you think how little fuel you actually burn in a chainsaw or a generator, over the course of the year premium will cost you probably less than $5 more than regular. And just cleaning the carburetor on one machine is an easy hour or two out of your life

^^^ This especially the 2 stroke stuff. I go to the local marina and get straight gas, my weed eater and chainsaw run like the day I bought em. I've never had a problem with the 4 stroke stuff, I do use sta-bil when they're not used.
