Okay, now I'm a smartass, Ford master tech, high end mechanic, dummy internet troll who just wants to make people look stupid. All because I wanted a guy to make sure his batteries were charged.

Out of respect to the forum and its members, I'll refrain from any further comments in that thread, but I had to vent somewhere. Maybe I've been here too long and I've become jaded. Please tell me I'm not turning into @Heavy_GD .

If you have a Sam's club membership, they sell a 3pk gallon case for $55. Breaks down to roughly $18.50/gal, and the shell website has a $7/gal rebate. Cant beat t6 at $11.50/gal.
Every now and then that same 3pk goes on sale for $45, making it around $7/gal. And I make sure to load up the 15gal max

I've tried it all. I've been driving 6.0s on and off for the last 10-11 years. Fact of the matter is, and I dont care who disagrees with me, any oil will get that truck to 250k or more. Providing you keep up on your intervals and use at least a somewhat quality filter. I've used Mobil 1, Delo syn, t6, amsoil. You name it. Now? I go where the deal is. And that goes for all 4 of my vehicles. And my 6.0 is the cheapest of them, so that says something. My last 6.0 I sold an oil change shy of 300k miles. Before that, sold at 245k, the guy is approaching 700k miles with 10k changes, crap oil change special filters, and whatever oil is on discount at the lube shop.
I dont worry about that **** anymore.

Excellent....im working w a 6.4 but have had all the Ford diesels up thru the years....used Amsoil for years in my 7.3 that pulled all its life, still have that truck w 300k on it. But the damn oil cost so much... not sure if it was really worth it. Went to M1 over the years due to the quality and reasonable price. I am a fanatic about maint and upkeep, frequency.
