It's good oil but you need to add some zddp additive to it since they changed to the CK-4 spec. The old (discontinued) CJ-4 Delo 400 LE was great and my truck loved it.

That's the thing. I couldn't really afford one either. Good credit has it's disadvantages.

Since personal responsibility is no longer a thing, I think I should be compensated for the salesman and the dealership taking advantage of me while I was in such a drooling and mesmerized state.
Absolutely, you poor thing. Those b*stards should be flogged for taking advantage of you too. I'm sure if we all write a letter we could get Pelosi to suckle you for a while to help with the depression

I have some archoil waiting to go in. I throw it in about every 2 years or 4 to 5 oil changes.

It should be comparable to t6 if not better according to the label.

Well I also just threw up in my mouth a little after reading the post you made last June about this so called “new and improved” delo. Definitely going to be taking it back tomorrow and getting something else.

If it was a good enough price, adding the additive might still be cost efficient. I'd check out the cost of it 1st

Yes they would like you to believe that, but it's not been approved by Ford. I think it was only last year that T6 CK4 was approved. I may be wrong and even T6 may need the zddp added. I don't remember now but there is a list somewhere of all the Ford approved CK4 oils.

Now does it really matter in the great scheme of things? Maybe not. I suppose it depends on how long you plan on having the truck and how many potential repairs you mind doing. I would think the injection system would suffer before anything else.

For me I've been using T6 in all my diesels since my flame truck with the 7.3 and it's always been good for me. Will I have either of my 6.0's long enough to see an issue directly related to the oil? Probably not. In fact the 03 might be leaving this weekend. Buddy of mine has a guy working for him that "really wants it" he said so we will see.

You’re right. I have been using t6 for about 5 years now and it hasn’t done me wrong. Just thought about switching it up here lately. Might just stick with it for now.

Seems like they’re always changing though but keeping the same labels.
