I have had a few friends drive routes delivering beer, and they seemed to do pretty well. I believe that the said $16/hr. is base pay. They get commissions on volume. My buddies always loved the holidays, superbowl, and big fight weekends, where they would make extra $$.

LOL^^^^ So true. They tried that at the steelmill I left from. In order to get a chance at the spot, you had to come up with an idea that saved the company alot of money. Im like, for a parking spot (to get closer to the chithole I dont really like) I have to come up with an idea to save the company $100k?????? How about Ill do it for a 10% bonus of the cost savings, or Ill just keep letting you idiots waste money. LOL. They said no way we are going to give you $10k for saving us $100k. But can you tell us what your idea is?

The repeat over and over and over again is the epitome of a few mechanics that I have tried out here to wrench for me that end up getting let go.

They'd only show up to work again (after many days of no call/no show) after they ran out of money, and then wonder why employers keep telling them not to come in tomorrow, or ever again.

I blame the parents for the most part of this general societal issue for instilling the idea that "all that matters is little Johnny or Suzie is happy". Well, happy doesn't necessarily pay the bills. Sometimes you have to suck up the pride and just do what it takes until something better comes along. Work a little harder, and normally something does come along that's better.

Mowing lawns back in the 80's for only $2.00-$5.00 a yard in town is what paid for my toys (first Nintendo console). LOL.

Don't particularly care for beer much, but a jigger of Macallans 12 or 18 year whisky always hits the spot.

You guys are lucky. I can't drink. Allergic to something in it. I'm always the designated driver. Sometimes i think friends only ask me to come along, because they know i'll drive their drunk asses home.

Don't know about you but...
I'd have to study for weeks for a behavioral test.
