I'd like to top off but I assume there is colors to match and brands not to use?
Color isn't everything, some of the Asian stuff is red like ELC. That said you do need to see what color is in it now, if it's never been flushed and changed it's probably Ford Gold/Zerex G-05, if that's the case get some G-05 and distilled water to make it 50/50 and top off. If it's red then get some Cat EC-1 ELC (Cat, Rotella, Texaco are all OK) if it's green then flush it out and switch to ELC asap

Damn Jeff, I turned 60 this year and my waistline is 2" bigger than what I wore in school and I weigh about what I weighed after basic training, about 185lbs. Not bad for an old man.

My real world problems is now I dunno what's up with my truck. I put the new batteries in and hooked em up to listen for the growl that @Weberman3 said I'd hear if the diodes/rectifier was bad, nothing. Started it up and everything was normal. Put it on the charger because the batteries are new and the old ones wouldn't let the charger kick on when they were hooked up. Topped em off and went for a drive. (forgot how much I love driving this thing after letting it sit for a couple months!) Everything seems fine now, stumped. Tomorrow I may hook up an amp gauge and see if there's any draw when it's off.

I may upgrade my alternator anyway since I'm running AGM's maybe mine just went bad from 2 1/2 years of not getting enough voltage from the stock alternator.

Oh yeah, belt and tensioner came today for the F150, threw it together real quick and it's fixed. This thing is a complete rust bucket but it only has 90k on it. Gotta keep it running good for my winter truck. Though I do hope we're done with snow, really enjoyed driving my 6.0 today!

Not bad time down to LA with 1 stop for about 15min.
Look at that mpg, could only dream of that in a truck lol.
That's running 80-90mph too with some slow spots in between to bring the average down.

Also, why I don't believe in buying warranties or their bs. The factory tires that came on my Mercedes. Pirelli pzero. 45k mile warranty!
Guess what, I'm at 43,918 and they are juuust about to the wear bar. Right where they will say see, told ya 45k. Come back In 1100 miles and it'll be the perfect time to sell ya another set
Companies have this stuff down to a science. Just to where they can make you feel warm and fuzzy about separating your pockets from your dinero, and lining theirs with it. They know exactly to a T when these products will wear or fail, and it doesnt involve them paying for it

But at least the car tires even for some neeeetos are only 100 bucks a pop lol. Can get kumho or falken for 80 bucks each. Dont you wish our trucks were like that! Even drilled and slotted brembo rotors are only 70 bucks for the PAIR for this thing

So I got online to pay my registration for my 6.0 on OregonDMV.org site. In the process of going through the steps to pay it, it said that if the box labeled 'DEQ' had the word 'NO' in it on my renewal notice they mailed me, that emissions was not needed. Well, I don't have the 'NO'.

According to their websites, diesel vehicles with a stated GVWR of over 8500 pounds do not need emissions. The 2007 F250 CCSB 4WD is 9400.

So I am confused.

They processed my payment of $150 for 2 year registration renewal, but didn't say anything about having to run through emissions before they will send tags out. *shrug*

I really doubt it will pass emissions. It has the EGR with welded caps, which throws engine code, and the ABS light is on.

Guess I'll find out in a few days.

Why does the government make everything so difficult? One part of the website at OregonDMV.org says one thing, then another part says another.

Anyone have problems logging on and posting today? I kept getting google messages saying the website couldn't be verified and was linked to excitebike.net. it was saying if I connected, that I'd be vulnerable to someone hacking and taking personal info.

I ended up restarting the phone, deleting history and cache, then reloging onto powerstroke.org and resetting password (deleted history and cache, so had to re-enter info to log on).
