My credit score is 750, the only reason it isn't higher is not having a mortgage and not using any credit till I bought my tractor and the card I got last year. Strange system, you have to have credit to get credit.
I dont believe in any of that. Same thing as guns. The guns dont get you in trouble..mine never shoot anyone by themselves.
The card doesnt swipe itself either. It only accrues what you allow it to. So it is all relative, and anyone should be able to pay the balance in full monthly. I've been doing it since I was 18. I've never carried balances.
It's all within relativity.

^^So sayeth the guy who's never been married or had children. LOL

I don't disagree with you, but life happens sometimes. Staying debt free is the best course of action.

I currently have some pretty substantial debt, CC and otherwise, but I am handling it and enjoying life in the process.

Yeah I know cards don't scan themselves, (and guns don't shoot people) But since you don't live paycheck to paycheck, or have a family to support, you don't get what I'm sayin. My point was simply this, credit cards make it easy to get in over your head.
Let's say a young man about your age, with 2 or 3 kids, a mortgage around $1500- $2500 a month, at least one car payment (prolly 2) house, car and health insurance, utilities, groceries, a Harley, a 6.0 or maybe a boat for a hobby etc, etc. Maybe a kid gets sick and the deductible kicks his azz. Then he starts using the credit card, do you think he's gonna pay the balance every month? If he doesn't, the interest will make it so he never gets caught up.
You've been out of touch with the financial challenges of the average working guy too long. I'm not implying that that's a bad thing, it'd be nice if everyone was an entrepreneur and had you cash flow. Unfortunately most guys are punching a time clock or choking themselves with a tie for the office. The whole system of working for a living just provides a living, not a system to get ahead.

If someone doesnt have an extra emergency stash, then they dont need a $1500-2500 mortgage, 2 car payments, a harley or a boat lol.
I have this talk with my friends on a weekly basis. They are living above their means in the first place. It's an American thing. 90% of Americans do, regardless of income level.

That's my whole point. 90% don't have anything put aside and they're deep in debt. They shouldn't have a credit card. LMAO

Subwoofer box showed up from supercrewsound. Although the transaction was great, we wont dispute that. I'm pretty disappointed in the quality of the product. The carpet is loose and baggy on top, and around the corners its torn. It looks like a $50 craigslist subwoofer box. Ill unfortunately be sending an email

Thats the dumbest thing.I was 20 years old, been at the mill for almost a year. Never had a credit card or anything, always paid cash for everything.Just how I was raised. Went to buy a new car, nothing fancy 20k at most.Couldn't get approved unless I put 3k down and still would've had a payment of like $450.All because I never showed any debt on my credit history. So I started getting small loans for a few grand at a time.keep them for 6 months and pay them off until I had a score of 720 at age 22 when I bought my first house.

Well, that sucks @j.flow .

Well, since you don't live too far, maybe come here and spend a weekend or two and we'll build you a fiberglass one. When the weather gets better. Build both ours at same time.
