Well, a previous Ford forum i belonged to, thought i was trying to sell products, when i was responding to people asking about them. They deleted my account and all the threads i started. Even though i followed the rules. I guess i was not even suppose to sell them to people, for what it cost me to make. Was just tryin to help other forum members out. Now, I'm not even going to try that. I like the folks here. I don't need to get banned because some moderator has a god complex.

Still feel like if some dude makes stuff like his bumpers , and he sells them “ at cost “ to make them for other enthusiasts ... what’s the harm. Just cause this is where I saw his truck parts ?

I feel like he’s not a company trying to skim on the side tho. Js

This is how they make their money on this site. It would be wrong for me to sell any product, even if it's broken even, profit, or a loss. Other people PAY to advertise here, and I understand that. I would pay also to advertise, but selling one or 2 bumpers a year, and having to pay 2000-3000 a month to advertise here, just does not make any sense to me. I will respect the rules. But if someone sees me on the street, gloves are off, and I am not bound by any rules. 😛

It's all good.

I built the bumpers for myself, but I don't mind building more. I love the designing part. That's why I took a year of courses at the college for SolidWorks. It's fun.

not sure how this got confusing but I know I had a hand in it LOL

what our stance is on situations like this is if someone contacted and individual who had made himself a cool part and showed it on the forum and asked that individual to make him a part also
we would not know or care even if that person made a profit.

what we can't allow is that person saying he will make parts for someone in the open forum
as far as word of mouth and other people talking about an individual making parts for folks we can not control that and don't care to

I just do not think in this case He wants to make parts for others. and I fully get that

I was trying for Mechanical Engineering. But I was having problem with calculus. Too many algebra and trigonometry formulas to remember and throw on calculus formulas was just too much for me. My disability was a problem. I get tunnel vision. If i can't figure out a problem, i try to move onto the next, but my brain keeps thinking about the last problem. Before i know it, exam is over.

Its a focus and ocd problem. LoL. The OCD you can see in the things i make. When designing stuff in SolidWorks, i zoom in and make sure parts fit within 0.00000001 inches. Which is stupid because most high end cnc machines (laser, waterjet, etc) are only accurate to 0.003 inches. Its my OCD that gets to me. LoL

was that truck equipped with any Carli stuff? it may have had the rear shock mounts?
i think they uses a smaller bolt since they are not just a stud

Well, I'm not trying to buy or sell anything here, but next time you need something cut send me a DXF and I might be able to save you a bill or two. As long as the part isn't too big I can probably get it out of scrap. Can't remember where exactly you are at, but I know you aren't too far away.
