It was just plain steel, not stainless but 50 years ago my father acquired the screen out of an old combine. Other than the color the holes and such looked about the same., with no lock of more old combines whenever a guy needed another one..... but it is fun designing cool stuff for sure

thats less of a big deal than it used to be i thought i found a crack in the upper driver side took a razor to it and it was pine sap that had driped and gotten hit by the wiper blade to look just like a 1/4" crack starting
so glad to find out it wasn't... so i know how you feel
that said there are guys in the cities who will meet yohu and replace it on site for 150 bucks now...
had to replace the windshield in the wifes old subaru a few times at 350 a pop
replaced the one in the suburban 6 years ago they came and did it on site for 150 incuding resealing the one in the super duty cant really complain about that too much

the shop man

and I agree
I have been a certified metal fabricator since 79 and i too wish i had access to a shop someplace
but all i got is a muddy snow covered drive way and half the tools i used to and most of those are basic mechanic tools
i am trying to figure a way to buy a car wash that is for sale that has a shop large enough for me to build custom overland camper shells in if i could make that happen i could make life far more rewarding than it has been of late...
especially if i could find the same set up in nevada and not deal with the peoples republic of commiefornia...now that gavey newsome is gov i am gunna have to get the f*** outta here before he finishes destroying the state

Still the rules, whether you enforce it or not.

So, I've had to take my truck up 2 additional times, after the install of the alarm. It was setting false alarms every 5-10 minutes. I think they fixed it this time. He said he had to tie into the dome light for the door trigger and set a 45 second delay before arming.

He said for some reason, when wired to the door pins, it was bypassing the diodes and setting it off.

Damn! These trucks are temper mental.

Now with that all fixed, now I can work on wiring up the custom circuit I made that will cut the FICM off, but still allow the remote start to work.

When the weather gets better, I will go out and work on that. I just have to figure out how to open that fuse block so I can cut and splice the wires that go to the coil side of the FICM relay so that circuit can interrupt it.
