I don't know. Those SnapOn left handed screwdrivers are just awesome! Same with their right handed pliers.

Seriously though. What turned me off with SnapOn is that their lifetime warranty is ONLY for the original owner. Which means their resale value is just crap.

Some things you really need the name brands SnapOn, Matco, SK, etc but for 90% of the stuff in my toolbox like the nice polished "Pittsburgh" wrenches and ratchets from Harbor Freight you'd be hard pressed to find any functional difference between them, and even if they don't last as long and you have to replace them you could do it like 4 or 5 times till you broke even.

Today I will. I've been working a lot since I bought that truck and haven't had time.

I have a Snap On 100 LB torque wrench that the ratchet slips, they fixed it once. It slipped again when I was just reaching 90 Ft Lbs and busted my knuckles real good. If a Snap On truck would have been going down the road about that time I'd prolly still be in prison. But I also have a 250 Ft Lb one with a flex head, that's a fantastic tool so I guess they balance out. They both sit in my HF box.

A bunch of guys at steel mill that I worked at used Snap-On tools. One guy, George - built like The Mountain on GoT - busted a ratchet while trying to crack loose a motor housing fastener. The ratchet was either 3/4" or 1". George was using his feet against another motor base to push off. Must've been a helluva thing when it cut loose. I was told later that there were dents in the motor housing matching Gearge's fists.

Anyway, George comes in the office with his knuckles bleeding. All of them. He says [in a thick Greek accent] "My ratchet broke. Can you ask Snap-On guy to replace? I was only using my hands."

The Snap-On guy comes in. Little mousy guy. I explain George's issue. He didn't know George. He comes back at me with "I'm not giving that lying *#$*(&# a new ratchet. I know that he used a cheater bar. He can take this busted ratchet and..." Blah blah blah.

I told him that he needed to tell George himself. ...and he marched off toward the maintenance bullpen all full of piss and vinegar.

When the Snap-On guy got back, I swear he had a look on his face that made me think that he crapped his pants somewhere along the way. Still shaking. I don't know what - if anything - was said between them but George got his ratchet. That's for damn sure.
