when it gets deep a roof rake just isnt enough if it works see the pic below

was gong to say your gearing is likely the issue
i ran 250 miles today at 75 and just a hair under 2000rpm
and i used half a tank doing it.

What rpm are you guys turning at 70mph? I'm 22-2300 with 37s

Ya you're way over geared for your tire size, or you aren't getting into 5th. My 04 has stock 3.73 gears and 305/45/22 tires on the rear. Those are about a 32" tall tire so real close to stock. And it's about 2300 rpm at 85 mph. I checked my speedo with my phone GPS and it within one mph. It averages 17 mpg.
My 03 also with stock 3.73 gears but with 40's, which are only about 38.5 tall. Rolling at 70 mph on the speedo puts me at around 83-84mph with GPS and 1900 rpm. That truck only gets around 10mpg but it's also under the turbo the whole time or really speeding to get into the boost. But there is alot of drag with that big of tire and as tall as I am.
Last thing is tuning. Both mine just have the Atlas 40 and nothing else. So maybe playing around with different tunes will help. I'm sure once I stud mine and throw a tune at them they will be even better.

I used to get 21.5 @62mph, since new. I can’t seem to break 19 in good conditions for the past couple years. Maybe this new intercooler will help. We shall see.

My oil never gets out of the 160s anymore. Anyone else with a bpd cooler that doesnt warm up? I finally hit 171 last night in the final 10min of the pull up hill with a ccsb 6.0 and my car hauler last night. 185mi pull. Same thing unloaded. 188-192 coolant on the hwy, 160s oil.
It seems thus bpd is either way too cold or way too warm lol
Unless my eot sensor is flubbed. But the inestersing thing is it always corresponds with my other temps being lower and immediately followed with removal of the mishimoto stuff and return of oem

they make a winter thermostat to help keep the oil up to temp
or just put a piece of cardboard in front of the cooler in winter months
my oil ran about 17 to 176 most of the day today
