Pshhh, thats nothing.wife took her car to the dealer for warranty work.Simple sofware update. She text me telling me they told her the tires need replaced, they're in the "red." To which I replied just tell them you want the warranty work, thats it.So she continues to panic and ask me three hundred questions. Her car isn't even two years old and has less than 30k.

I will try my damndest to never complain about Oregon roads again. If I70 is any representation of how midwest roads are I feel sorry for you guys because ouch. I'm not even to Indianapolis yet and have probably already need new shocks lol. I haven't seen frost heaves and huge potholes like this on an interstate ever....wow

Also kinda different to see school buses with strobes on top. Haven't seen that before either
Yeah I70 into Indy sucks pretty bad. Drove that the last 2 springs going to UCC, and I'll be on it again in May for the next one too. Hope your trip is a good one. PM me when you get home, I'm interested in the FICM tuner.

DO NOT! take that car to Les Schwab Tires in Oregon. They will not let you leave with that car, without replacing the tires (buying new from them, obviously). They will not hand the keys back to you. They will say it's a liability issue to justify their actions and basically con you into buying a new set of tires. Happened to me. I either had to shell out the cash for new tires, or call a tow truck, as they would NOT put the tire back on (I ran it allitle while it was flat, barely rubbed tire inside). I was too the point of calling the police, but didn't want to deal with that. I sucked it up (since back tires were pretty bad anyway on that FWD car) and bought two new front tires, just so the police didn't get involved.

They are crooks.

I moved those tires (on my car), to the back after a different company repaired the hole, and they went another year on the car without any problems. Les Schwab is so full of sh*t. Never will I shop with them again.

Same issue happened to my grandma and of course she didn't have money for the tires. I told them there is absolutely no safety issue for her to drive 5 miles home and they will not hold her car hostage. They told me that they can't release the tires / the car so I said that's fine, I will put them on the car and leave with the car. Ended up still having the car on their lift when I put the tires on which I admit wasn't probably the best move on my part but after that experience and them totaling my uncles truck and sweeping it under the rug, I won't step foot in a Les Schwab again.

yup, and because the way they treated me that day, they lost out on a $5500 sale soon after.

I went to discount tires to buy new wheels and tries for both the car and truck, and full size spares for them as well with matching wheels. If it was not for the way they treated me that day, I probably (Huge chance) would have bought the package from them, instead of Discount Tire. Discount Tire has been treating me awesome, even after the sale. I regularly get reminders to get air pressure, re-torque, and tire rotation notices in my email, all of which they do not charge for. I threw a weight twice on a couple of the wheels on the truck. They fixed, no charge both times. They are awesome.

So, if any of you general managers, owners, or employees of Les Schwab reading this...take notes! Your so called 'BS policies' are actually hurting your business.
