With the narrow hoods on the old hot rods, the straight-6 just fits in there really easily. I've often thought of doing a hot rod pickup truck and as much as I like the sick so I would have to put some kind of inline 6 into it. I really do like the sound of the old 354 Perkins that they put in the Massey Ferguson tractors.

I'm doing a top end on a 318 Perkins right now, bought a hollow cylinder hydraulic ram for my sleeve puller. Dry sleeves are f-ing tight! Not sure how good it'd be in a rat rod with a 2200 rpm redline though. Mine's still in the Massey Ferguson.

I just went and dragged this big momma about 100 miles, thru 3 cities and a bunch of small towns. Sheriff saw me bounce it over a curb in Zanesville, Jack said he was laughing at me. (better than lighting me up) Stressful trip threading it thru some of the small town roads. Oh yeah and a max speed of about 45 mph (OK 55 in a few places as I got closer to home)

For those wondering, it's a basket wagon for small square bales. The baler pushes them up and in, when you get about 100 bales in it you pull up in front of the barn, pop the back open to drop em in a pile. So much better than 2 people on a flat wagon stacking, then unloading and stacking again in the barn.

Well with this it's just stacking in the barn. If it was up to me they'd all be round bales.

These headlights get a thumbs up in my book. With the stock headlights I didn't really feel like the light output was good, especially high beams. The high beams didn't seem any brighter, just lit up higher. These new headlights have awesome high beams and the light output on the low beams is maybe marginally better than stock if that up close, but once you start looking out a block or more you can definitely see where the light output is a ton worse than stock which is expected out of semi-cheap projectors.

For me it's not too big of an issue as I live in a small town but there's still some lights around. If I were in say the hills of rural Tennessee it might be a different story, however that's why we have high beams and why I'm going to put LED cubes to replace my fog lights. I've been saying that for a while but it still comes down to the issue of I actually need to do it...

At night the headlights paired with the mirrors makes my truck look like one of the newer GMC's.

I didn't do the HID option, this website does have them though. They go from 4300k up to 12000k but it didn't look like a plug and play easy install to me. The ones linked I knew where just plug it in and forget about it, not to mention like $50 cheaper .
