Your local Ford dealer can print you one.

The first page of mine shows all the specs of the truck (model, year, engine, color code, axle ratio, wheel size, GVWR, weight, etc. It shows me the original owners name, warranty info, and extended coverage. Then after that it just shows all the things that were done to the truck at a Ford dealer (no other shop will be shown).

If the PO did EVERYTHING at the dealer it is an invaluable resource. My OASIS report is 7 pages long and I can see all the oil changes, new tires, repairs, etc. In Dec of 2010 the truck went in to the dealer for a concern of losing coolant / white smoke and the outcome was the EGR cooler test failed, oil cooler test failed, and headgasket test failed resulting in a engine rebuilt at 104k miles.

just remember the Oasis is Fords internal record keeping document and their intellectual property, they don't owe it to anyone nor endorse dealerships to hand it out

but if you find the right person the document can be handy

it basically is a list of all the service orders a vehicle has ever had (at a Ford dealer ) in one document

we had a guy on here selling them and IO am sure that was a big no no? and his page count was limited to one IIRC i remember it did not help me I needed the info on page #2 lol

Technically that truck is stuck in Canada and cannot be imported.
The 25 year rule is for stock vehicles.

But since the frame, drivetrain, and the likely VIN attached are from a 2006 your statement is irrelevant.

But would they go with the engine / frame VIN or the body VIN?

On swaps like that, for emissions laws, it's supposed done by the VIN for the frame. Whether that was correctly maintained during the body swap is up in the air depending on how it was done. Ask the seller what it says on the registration if you're seriously considering it, as whatever its registered as will be the determining factor and will have to have the matching VIN on the vehicle to verify during inspection.

It's a technical loophole that usually goes by the wayside because few look that close, or even really care. It's supposed to keep people from putting non- emissions engines into chassis that were originally designed and registered for emissions, and yes, by that regard, every 12V Cummins swap is by law, illegal..... but look how many of them are out there without much issue. If you look up the statute though, you could use it to your advantage to import it. It's just a body swap, the "guts" are plenty new to bring in and import.

Worst case depending on how bad you want it if it's truly your dream truck, you separate the body from the chassis, and import them separately. The rolling chassis as a "vehicle" and the body as "parts".

Had some of the same suggestions and thoughts about if I was to be stationed in Japan and wanted to bring a car newer than 25 years.

Chalked it up to I would have to put the engine in my "personal belongings" and i could ship the chassis under a collectors or race chassis or something like that. Would definitely look into it if I happen to go

i have a tripple duece set up for it but i am going to stick with the 4bbl beccause its honestly fast enough and gets decent mileage for what it is, as is, i just need to go through the vavles and probably do a full rebuild at this point and find the damn keys
we were on stand by evacuation for a fire just over the next ridge and i had the keys someplace safe to get it moved to the field at the ranch to protect it but after the fire i cant find em

Run the vin if itís salvaged or rebuilt itís not coming in. If itís not stock itís not coming in as a over 25 year vehicle.
Itís been deleted itís not coming in
All by law.

NOW if you get someone at the border who doesnít care or they donít know any better itís down the road.
