$13k for an Excursion? There must be something wrong with it or it's got 500k miles on it? They wouldn't ask anything less than $19k for one like that around here on a lot. 2wd maybe?

I'm not sure if my '04.25 had the same plate or not, but I didn't even attempt to take them off from the bottom. It just didn't seem doable. I used the side hole, a 6" extension and my M12 ratchet to remove. Used a long extension and came all the way from the front to install.

it was a huge pain on my 06 using the oblong hole i wish they had a bottom plug or removable cover like other transmissions

just FYI to readers if you don't replace the plug the motor will sound whacky with a whop whop sound

the only advantage to down time when everyone else is working is at least you can take care of business on your down time
That is the only good thing about it. I can get alot more done like grocery shopping, running for parts, etc..

Well it has been almost 4 years since our oldest boy was murdered in AZ. Coco, his 2011 Hayabusa has been sitting in the garage since August of '14 and I have put about 500 miles on her just going out a few times a year to keep the seals from drying out. We finally decided it was time to part ways with her. She was sold to a 52 year old man who we felt would respect and care for her the way Michael did. It was hard to watch her go, but the proceeds are all going to our daughter for a down payment on a house so that makes it a bit easier to swallow. Plus, I have the Road Glide.

I love my 6.0, but I was looking through some old photos and found a pic of my first Ford. 72 Highboy with 390 stroked to 410. This was in Yakima right after the NW Jeep Jamboree about 20 years ago.

@mpholland sounds like a rough day...

Those older trucks look much better in the mud than the newer ones. Lol

My first 4x4 was a ‘76 F250 highboy w/390 auto at 17. My next was a ‘72 that had a 460 swapped in. What a tire smoker!! I felt sorry for those 36” super swampers!
