Sleep is over rated, but I still like to get some a few times a week. I'll spend all night out in the shop working on something then head out to work for the day. Wife thinks I'm crazy or a crackhead lol. Ya just get into a mood to work sometimes.

@Flamed99 The local lot has this Excursion. I can stop and check it out if you’d like. It was $1,000 higher yesterday.

That's the problem with working crazy hours that change around all the time. The overtime check lasts a week or maybe two if you're lucky, and the insomnia last a lifetime. In a way it's not really much different than people that do extreme sports and regularly have serious injuries, and then at 45 discovered that their body is totally ruined and even thinking is painful

Same here. The military will really test your circadian rhythm. From working 16-18 hour days 7 days a week for 6 months on deployment to switching shifts every few weeks to traveling time zones like its fun.

Just recently we had been working what is called 24 on 24 off where we come in at 0630 and get relieved by the other shift at 1pm and then we don't come in until the next day at 1pm and then work until everything is done. Sometimes thats 11 pm other times its 1 am and then we still have to be in by 0630. Half of our "day off" is spent catching up on sleep.

This last week we went back to the normal 2 shift so I was coming in at 230 pm and not getting off until 12-1 am.

This Monday I'm on another shift again where I'll go in at 1030 pm and get off at 630 am.

Its all over the place really. I'm glad as I'll be going to another command at the end of June. This is why I'm so sporadic on here

the only advantage to down time when everyone else is working is at least you can take care of business on your down time
