Looks like to me that the vReference voltage is shorting out to the signal return. I would think it is the wiring, but I always go OEM on the sensors!

@bismic brings up a good point. It's crazy hot back where your sensor is.

I'd pull off the heat shield and check the harness integrity. ...and then bulk up the heat shield after any repair/replacement. The AZ-type shops have decent heat shield segments.

oh and i wanted to say that relocation kit is an excellent idea but 110 bucks for what is esentially a high pressure line seems excessive to me
but of course....
after tearing into the damn thing a hundred bucks probably wont seem so out of line
