The 6.0 does not take well to being turned into a High Horse Power engine. There are too many factors that must be overcome. With most not possible leaving the end result you having a problematic engine with never ending mechanical failures because its beyond its mechanical abilities.

Yup I said it. They are a Wimpy Diesel Engine in the overall scheme of things. But when they are not ran at a level past 450 HP and done right they do well. 400 HP is even better.

Thats my take on the trucks struggles.
All and all considering mine has done really well. And I beat on it hard!
And I'm pretty sure I'm beyond 450 hp
Have over 30k mine.

So i have a question... i really hate to cheap out on things and i also dislike doing things twice but my front left Wheel bearings are making noise and its starting to affect my fuel economy bad.

Timken is my first choice however im looking at the TRQ wheel bearing/hubs that 1AAUTO sells https://www.1aauto.com/2005-10-ford-...=847155&y=2007 becuase theres aa bunch of other stuff i need to do to the truck which includes coolant flush w/ ELC, waterpump, tstat, BPD EGR, UPIPES ( bellow is cracked ) and a steering gear. I have new ford bearings for the rear hubs i figure ill just do it to greshen them up since the rear pinion n carrier was already done not long ago.

Are these a good "cheaper" option even if i need to swap them in 50k? Opinions?

My friend you are basking in some might fine Karma I must say.

But these trucks are hit and miss for sure, some guys go 500K without a hitch and spending $0. Then others cant keep the thing running to save their life. I am sure there are guys in the 550HP category and problem free its just not too common. I am not going any further in power with mine because I just don't want to be wondering when it was going to get me next. These engines are technological wonders but thats also its undoing.

We're 6.0 nuts, we have a lot of important stuff to talk about. Either that or it's all a bunch of BS, you decide.

I use either Timken or Moog, since they come with a 3 year warrantee. My advice, buy the best warrantee.

You dont have a unit bearing, you have old school bearings and races. Timken would also make your bearing/race set. I usually go with National

Mishimoto coolant filter is installed. The Sinister diesel one looked cooler but the Mishimoto matches my engine bay better. Yes, I regret to say I bought the brand based off how it would look in my engine bay but it seems like a lot of people run Mishimoto radiators / cooling parts so hopefully all will be good!
