No kidding. I look at some of the prices guys are posting and it makes me wonder where my money is going. How much of what we pay is taxes? And what do they spend the money on? Certainly not road repair. The CA roads get worse every year.

$3.75, $3.86 and $4.00 even at the 3 stations closest to my house. Diesel at the Kona Hawaii Costco today is $3.65. Let’s see I live in San Jose 60 miles from the refinery in Martinez. Fuel is pumped from Martinez through an underground pipeline to a Santa Clara fuel farm less than 10 miles from my house, minimal transportation cost. How does fuel get to Costco in Hawaii? Hawaii does have one refinery but they have no oil wells. With the added expense to load crude or refined fuel on to a tanker and oversea transport it to Hawaii then transport it again to the pump they still manage to sell it for less than we pay for it here. I guess I am paying a “Privilege” to live in California price.

You're, and we, are paying for the 'PRIVILEGE' of a lot of other people to live in Cali.

$2.76 to over $3.00 here in Carson City, NV. It depends on where you go. Maverick shows $2.89, Smith's grocery store shows $2.89, and if you shop there you can get up to $.50/gal off. So, we shop at Smith's!
Chevron and Shell are the most expensive but you know their stuff is good.

Sorry for you left coast guys; $2.49 at the local BP (eastern SC) this morning. That's down from $2.57 last week. That's real, regular, plain old diesel fuel; not the bio or "enhanced" other stuff whatever they call it. Prices in Florence are a tick higher but not much.
