Just bought a 2006 6.0

Just bought a 6.0 2006 looks like its been bullet proofed it has the studs and looks like the hpop is installed, has the livewire tuner, Ive been watching my oil temps and coolant temps, driving in the afternoon my temps on both of them around 202 degrees and its been around 95 degrees the last few days in East Tenn. I was wondering if this is good or if I need to be concerned about the temps? I just got the truck a few days ago I love the truck just not that familiar with diesel engines. Thanks

I would guess the normal oil temp during the summer will run 190-210F but this is dependent on ambient temps and engine load. I use my SCT X4 to monitor oil and coolant temps as a 15 degree difference spells problems. This difference is called a "delta" and if you get outside of this delta, the computer will throw trouble codes and you will get a wrench icon on the dash and maybe a CEL.
