Great thread! Just read all 68 pages! I've also done a lot of mods to my RV...I'll take some pics and share them later.

Update. My step up voltage converter kicked the bucket today on my solar. Ordered a new one online today from Amazon that is a 10A instead of a 3A. I read the wattage wrong on the first one I think. Oh well. 33 bucks and prime gets it here on Sunday guaranteed. Leaving Monday for pismo so I'd like to soak up the sun instead of running the genny just to recharge the battery.

I also built a new bottom step as a landing. The trailer had an axle flip done but they didn't bother putting a 3 tread step on. I meant to snap a pic, but I forgot and it's packed already.

Man, when it rains, it pours! I was dropping the stabilizers on my trailer today getting it ready for our trip Monday to watch the frame rail suck up against the bottom of the coach. The rack I made for the generator was just too much for the wimpy frame under the trailer. Looks like that's coming off. :realmad:

I got the rack unloaded all except for a few chunks of plywood to keep the wind from burying the trailer in the sand. It'll carry that little weight just fine.

I built a spare tire mount since when I put the rack on the back, the spare tire was displaced. It's been riding around in bed of the truck the past few trips and is always in the way.

It seems like a great spot, it's over the kingpin so it doesn't effect balance, it's not bouncing around, and it's still easy to get to.

I put it over the flag pole mount so I can still put up my Stars and Stripes

A friend of mine told me about this. Seems pretty sweet so far:
If you've ever wrestled with your outdoor carpet to get it rolled up straight and tight, this is for you.

I had a piece of ABS left over from a bathroom remodel

So I cut it to length so it was the same as the width of my carpet. Then cut a slit out of it along the length. It's about 3/8" wide. Used the table saw with the blade barely high enough to get through, then turned it and cut it again.

Then I slipped the edge of the carpet into the slit, then rolled it up using the pipe as the core.

It's nothing new, but it's kinda handy!

Just another addition to the PVC uses arsenal for those with toy haulers......use some PVC strapping with self-tapping screws to mount a 7-8ft length of PVC to the framing inside the top of your storage to slide your atv flags into. Works great for giving those pesky flags a home to go to when traveling so they're not beating up the inside of your trailer.
