Hey Chris - I was wondering when you were going to chime in!

This area is near the Harquahala Mine near Salome. Didn't see any iron donkey but that sounds really interesting. Bill Southern had some recent nugget finds where we were at.

I was planning a trip out but life got in the way - itching for some detecting action!

I think that's a great idea if that vehicle is for outdoor camping. Once inside, gives a little more room on the bottom sides.

If I were using it on the trails I go through, I'd need to do something above the cab, like put aluminum plate on the camper in the front on top of the cab to keep it from getting beat up or broken. The miles of trails I go through in the desert at some point have trees that are trimmed by the trail riders, but only to the top of the cab. I started to clear some of the branches out that were scratching my truck, but these trails were in washes and literally miles long, and were too much for one guy with a pair of loppers. Some of the limbs just above my cab could be six inches thick, so I would not want to hear a crunch.

the framing on those 'stick built' camper shells is pretty flimsy stuff, not sure putting an alum plate on the outside would be sufficient to keep a tree branch hit from caving the whole thing in
