Door Wiring harness

@fordsvtparts

Just checking...Driver's Door Wiring Harness (crosses over the hinge to the body)
1) is it available
2) how much $$

2001 F350 Crew Cab Long Bed, PSD

I've recently found none of my windows will work if the driver's door is closed, but will work fine if it's open. I'm guessing after 254K worth of door opening/closing (the most of any door) the wiring is getting brittle and breaking. Everything else on the door works (locks, mirrors). Figured it MIGHT be easier to replace the door harness rather than going spelunking for a single wire.....this time.

So you still need help with this one? I was fortunate enough to have a nice, long vacation over the holiday. If not, I understand.

Thanks
Mike R

Hey Mike - good for you on the vacation! Hope you had a great time! @fordsvtparts

Yep - Still interested in the info above.

No rush, though, it's my turn for a short vacation. I live in the Sacramento valley in Ca.Temps are hitting 100°+ degrees. We're headed for the coast where temps are running 30° cooler. I'll be back Monday 7/29.

Enjoy your vacation!

The door harnesses on this one are actually part of a much larger body harness. I confirmed this with Ford's wiring diagrams. I'd need a VIN to find a number for the harness, but it's most likely discontinued. Unfortunately, the pigtail has been discontinued from Motorcraft as well. Ford changed the switch in 2002, which has a different connector.

Maybe the newer switch and connector can be retrofitted into your truck? Give me a shout if you dig into this further & looking for help.

Thanks!
Mike
