Rear Differental Covers

I was wondering if you recommend Teflon tape or something similar for the fill and drain plugs of you rear diff covers? When I installed mine on my 2003 F-350 I used one wrap of Teflon tape around each and when I installed it with a very high quality and known good torque wrench it scared the hell out of me because I thought I was going to crack the case of it being that it is made of aluminum and the plugs are steel.
Any input would be awesome
Thanks,
Jeremy

I'll take my older diesel over your brand new gas burner any day of the week...

I've always just hand tightened with a 3/8s

Teflon never hurt anything IMO.

AFE brand

its an AFE cover the hardware is different and the fill and drain plugs are 1/2 inch square like for a socket wrench. just feels like the force needed for the correct torques is alot to me.
