Losing power rapidly going up hills..

Hello, I have a 2001 f250 7.3 that I recently just replaced the uppipes in as well as the turbo pedistal O rings, this all fixed the issues I was having but she runs good up until I try to take it up a hill and the she boggs down and will drop from 120 kmhr to 60 rapidly. Just seeing what ideas are our there.

My 99 did this- trans was going. Truck sat 3.5 years before doing a bunch of work similar to your list. Test rides went well- until some big long hills on the way home. No power. Seemed ok on level ground but as soon as I had it under any load, it would bog down. I am sure it can be other things but mine was fixed with a rebuilt trans installed.

wrap the up pipe joints in tin foil. I bet you have a leak. they are nearly impossible to detect visually and you just did them. Also what are the egts/boost/speed when going up the hill?

one thing you can do and it will help a ton when the issue is resolved is unplug the red vac hose end on the brass cupcake on the turbo housing. Then plug the red hose end near where the other end is on a plastic nipple. You'll see 3+more boost psi on hills. Most waste gates need to be tightened but you can just remove te red tube. It was infamously called the "red tube mod"

I threw it on Auto Enginuity and no codes came up. The tranny isn't slipping but there is a substantial lag in gear change when punching it. haven't checked the fuel filter yet.

No codes and can't maintain power under high loads?

I liked the Fuel Filter suggestion...
