It could be the orifice tube, put that would cause the high side pressure to be really high, which means there is a restriction in the system. That is also a remove the refrigerant, fix, recharge item. Changing the tube is fairly simple but if you do not know how or have the equipment to remove and replace the refrigerant you will need some help.

The ac system is not that complicated but most people get all freaked out over it because the do not understand how it works. Do a little research on how the system works and watch some YouTube vids and you may surprise yourself when it comes to fixing your ac.

You checked fuse 24 that handles the door actuator? Should be a 10 amp.
Fuse was good but I think I found the problem

It will cause your MAX AC not to function properly.

I had an 03 where the refresh/recirculate door arm was busted. From the passenger floor board reach way up to the firewall and the refresh door is hinged horizontally behind a plastic grid. Then a vacuum actuator and a bomarang looking plastic armature connected to the door. I changed mine without pulling anything apart dash wise, but it is a one eye closed, hold your teeth just right, work by faith no by sight sort of thing.

Hopefully it will cool down by Thanksgiving so you can fiddle around with it.

Or chain a generator down in the bed and put a window ac unit through the rear sliding window.....
I put the truck in 4x4 with the AC on and it did not revert to defrost.......I think I may however have found my issue. I pulled the blend actuator and a piece of broken plastic came out with it, so I think the hole where the actuator goes in is broke. I took the cover off of the heater core and stuck my hand behind it and was able to push closed what I suspect was the blend door. When I did this the air turned cold. I put the cover back on and the actuator back in and I now have cold air. Im guessing that when winter comes I will have this same issue with heat if I do not replace the door assembly....but I will cross that bridge later in the fall
