If you are getting the ford upfitters you want the wiring harness too. It will come with the relay, plug that goes into the fuse panel and the pigtails that you connect to your accessories. In my case I removed the plug and wired into my standalone fuse block. I don't know where my wiring diagram went but you should be able to do a google search to see what the wiring and fuse requirements are.

Has anyone used the upfitter switches with the trailer brake with it. does it work very well or is it not worth it. if its ant good it would look better that having the brake control under the dash.

From the research I did, the 05+ brake controllers coincide with the ECM, so it would not be a reasonable swap.

I added them on my 2000. I had to add a aftermarket fuse block. I have all the wiring written down(I'll have to hunt for it) for the trucks with the older fuse blocks. 02+ should be able to plug right in. It takes a small amount of trimming and one tab had to be left loose to fit it in my truck.

I did it, and SSSSOOOOO WORTH IT!!!!!!! I love it!! works way better than the prodigy I had in before that was angle sensitive. This one works on brake pressure so it doesn't matter if you're going uphill or down, just how hard you push the pedal!

I don't remember which color wires run to the computer, but I just didn't hook them up and no problem. I got a good used 6.0 master cylinder with TBC port from a used parts yard, then had to splice the brake lines together since the connections are different. (I think its 3/16 brake line, of course someone will tell you it's metric but hell mine has held for almost 2 years without leaking)

One of the 2 plugs from the 6.0 TBC goes into the 7.3 harness (need to make an adapter so get the plugs with your 6.0 TBC) and then the other plug has 5 wires, 1 is hot, 2 to the master cylinder switch, and 2 to the computer (didn't use). The hardest part of the whole installation was moulding the upfitter and TBC plastic mounting to the bottom of my F650 center underdash, other than that it was pretty straight forward and gave me a chance to change out my brake fluid since I had to rebleed the bakes.
