Ignition will not turn back to lock - 2000 Excursion

I have a 2000 Ford Excursion. Today I lowered the steering column to replace the shift tube. That whole process went fine and it all went back together as it should. Now, the issue i am having is the key will not turn back into the lock position. The truck will start fine, and when i turn it off it turns back far enough to kill all the power but stops before the lock position. And of course it will not go back to accessory either. I pulled the key tumbler out 12 times and checked everything, I just cannot figure out what would have happened. The part i replaced did not have anything to do with the key tumbler. Hopefully someone has been through this and can provide me some direction. Thanks everyone.

Well, fixed it. Turns out that even though it looked like it was in park, it was not all the way. I pulled on it harder and the key turned back. I will need to do some adjustment on that it appears. Hope this helps someone in the future.
