Yea neither is mine. The metal looks thick enough that I think I am going to try drilling it setting in some rivet nuts to hold the bolts for the handle. It should be plenty strong for typical usage and if down the lines it loosens up then I can always weld in a couple nuts. I got so used to having a handle on the driver side in last truck I really miss it in my 2002, lol.
