I also have the superchips unit. Bought it used on ebay. No problems with it.
I am positive Hydra is a better unit, but my truck is owned by my employer.
Just wanted something cheap, and I definitely feel a difference. Smoother.
I run it at 'performance tow'. Dont have a boost gauge or 4" exhaust.
It raised my mpg by almost 1 mpg (from near 15 to near 16).
Really easy to install, nothing in the truck to stay, doubles as a code reader.

Don't tune it at all until you have gauges, then get the Hydra.

00 f250 ext. cab, lb, 4x4, 170,000, zf 6 speed, South Bend 1944ofe, 4 in lift, 315/75/16 Courser MXTs, rear Detroit locker, PMF traction bars, Full Force 180/80 injectors, KC 300x 63/73/.84 turbo, PHP Hydra, Riff Raff frx,, Dieselsite pre pump kit, Dorman up pipes,IAH delete, ccv mod, 6637 filter, Auto Meter gauges, Edge CS2, 4 in diamod eye straight pipe 6 in tip.

180/30s,KC38R, CNC Fab Stg 2 HPOP, Sump, Walbro, Donaldson 6637, Leveled, 4'' straight to 7'' tip, 08 mirrors, 6.0 front end ect...

I literally just listed a Hydra in the for sale section. New in box. Only thing used is the ribbon cable but it still works. They warrantied it when I didn't think they would had I known I wouldn't of purchased a new chip.
