A proper combo on a 7.3 would walk both of those examples. I was doing it almost 10 years ago on the street/strip and hooked to a sled. Then drove home and got back to work.

depends on the turbo and what a "200/150" injector is? none of the reputable shops/builders ive ever worked with/heard of use a 150% nozzle

So you have 250/100, but you didn't mention an upgraded turbo. You would need an s369 or better to take advantage of those sticks. What is your turbo setup?

250/100 with a 38r is a fun setup when tuned properly.

i loved my 250/100s and my s366 setup. .91 housing was a rocket early on, but after adding 200% nozzles the billet wheel and 1.1 housing was a slightly slower light until about the 100' mark

I plan to build a 7.3 down the road to see what we can push out of it

I think it is. I heard a 6.0 start up outside O'Reilly's the other day. Sounded like a 747 getting ready to take off. I have a 7.3 that I would love to hear more whistle out of but unless I'm sitting next to a building or something that will reflect the sound I can't hardly hear it. I talked to the guy that owned the truck and he said 7.3s were pretty quiet. He said there was a 'damper ring' at the turbo inlet that quieted things down, but it only really made a difference on the front end noise of the turbo.

you can't compare a vgt 6.0 sound to a 7.3 non vgt turbo sound.
like comparing a 6.7 powerstroke to a idi

and no there isn't a "damper ring" in the turbo

you'll never ever get a similar whistle
