For all those claiming to run stage 2s and "love them"... what else have you ran to compare?

I can tell you that ANY tuner or turbo builder that you talk to will say 9 times out of 10 the stage 1.5s or hybrids work better than the stage 2s. When you sell enough tunes/turbos/injectors you see a trend... and the most problematic, hot/smokey, injectors are the stage 2s (160/80, 160/100, 180/80, and 180/100)

Not that you "can't" run them. But just about any other injector out there is going to run better.

for the whole "30% nozzles is not big enough"... that is "kind of true"

at 4.2ms we only made 440hp with 180/30 but turning it up to a crazy 5.6ms we made 470hp
With 180/100s we made 490hp... but ran way hotter, way more smoke, harder to tow, touchy pedal and had major ICP issue

If you want more fuel than a 180/30 can provide... then bump up to 205/80s or 238/80s IMO. They will make more power, run cooler, and hold ICP better than 180/100s

We just had a guy switch from 180/100 to 205/30... and lost 20hp above 2500rpms... but gain MPG, cooler egts, less smoke, and more tq down low. So yes the 100% nozzle will increase top end power above 2500rpms, but at a sacrifice.

Since you already have them.... then I would just run them. But a stock size turbo will not fully clean up the top end on a race tune. But towing and normal driving should be fine.

I really like our new 63/73 with 180cc injectors

Have you ever had your truck on a dyno? And how do they run as far as EGTs and smoke with a stock turbo?

Haven't had it on a dyno. It will smoke if I lug it but for normal driving they run pretty clean, and the turbo cleans them up OK on the top end. Egts aren't an issue at all, on a full throttle 6th gear pull I am going nearly 100 mph before egts hit 1200*. No problems towing either but I haven't towed more than 6K.

Ok that makes me feel better then. Id like to upgrade the turbo at some point but its good to know I can keep it stock with the bigger injectors for the time being
