As for waht I did to my truck today--took it to the car wash, vacuumed it, then put some tire shine stuff on the new tires. Looks nice!

Yesterday, I put on some pedal covers. The clutch and brake fit, but the fuel pad is too small, so I had to write the seller and see what he can do for me.

Today, I just put around $95 into the tank to get me through the weekend. Avg MPG was 16.25 on the last tank.

I'm leaving on another trip Monday 0-dark-thirty to Reno and take the car I picked up in So Carolina this summer to its first show in Lake Tahoe next Thursday. I worked on the car most of the day cleaning the engine bay and undercarriage. I made a lot of progress. Got out there this evening and changed the oil in the Super Duty. I was overdue for a change on my already extended change interval, I didn't want to go another 1,500 miles. I'll wash the truck in the morning, get the trailer out, and stage the rig tomorrow afternoon. Busy, busy.

Got mine through the car wash the other day, then ended up going into a mudhole right after turning a corner.

Anyone know why Ford is now saying to use Mercon LV instead of Mercon V for the transmission and T-case? I just checked Motorcraft's site and it says DON'T use LV where Mercon V is recommended and it is not for use in t-cases. I have the manual trans, too.

I think it's another cheap azz Ford bean counter move so they can eliminate another stock item. I know you shouldn't us V in a T-case, not sure how the LV does. Guess it's ok in the automatics. I use the XL-12 or Valvoline Transfer case fluid, lot of guys use Penzoil syncromesh in the ZF-6

Oh yeah, been hauling my 450 gallon water tank back and forth to the fire station for water. Cow's spring dried up a month ago and ours died about a week ago.

Got the truck camping platform done and now I need to notch out the rear for something the wife asked for but I had forgotten hahahaha. got a special folding tailgate ladder, and 6in thick memory foam mattress in the mail. Nothing like late summer camping trips... originally I wanted to cut two strips of plywood lengthwise but had a huge brain fart and did not want to run to Home Depot again for more crappy wood. so now I have 4 pieces haha.
