It has a 4" lift, the helper springs were almost touching the strike plates on the frame with it loaded up! I want to get some air bags for it this summer to help when towing my trailer.

yesterday, I did my first oil change since I installed the Fumoto oil drain. man, that made it easy and neat

of course, then I fumble fingered the oil filter as I was removing it, and managed to splash about a pint of black oil all over my arm and t-shirt, DOY!

next time I break it loose, and punch the hole in the bottom and let it drain into the pan before removing it entirely.

3500 miles, mostly towing and fully loaded, since my last oil change, and I don't think it burned any oil at all. engine has nearly 240,000 on it.

I stalled a set of used factory nerf bars.

Being on the down slope of "over the hill" it sure makes it easier to get in and out of it. Lol.

Is this the truck you redone? Looks great! Love the steps - mine are round and kinda of annoying to step on at times.

Got mine into the car wash again--2nd time in two days (had a free 48 hr turnaround time due to rain).

Got a speeding ticket yesterday when the cops had one guy with the radar gun in his car telling the (literally) 10 or so motorcycle cops who to pull over. They had several people over and I don't see how he could've picked me out of a large crowd of vehicles, much less reset and then record what he did in such a short time.

If he was using laser instead of radar, he could pick you out of the pack.

Maybe but I still think he was in error--this will kill me if it stays with 4 pts off my license. Hope they got their quote in for the month at least (talked with a lawyer on it and he was telling me how they prosecutors aren't interested int he points, but their job is to collect revenue for the city).

I've been stressing for many months as it is--this doesn't help.

Got to take mine in for its bi-annual SMOG check. It's basically donating $$ to the state. They check the computer, smoke test and take the $$. I usually pass.

I also have a power steering leak. It's running down the frame and I've had to top it off every couple of days. I'm hoping it's something simple like a loose connection. BUT @ 255K+, it could be a hose or something. We'll see.
