It would be hard to tell how much fluid you have with an all aluminum unit. If it cracks like clockwork, aluminum is a must then!

Went out and started looking at the last 7.3 I hauled home. I knew he had removed the steering column but.... is this worth trying to hook back up?

There is a sight glass on the side for checking fluid level.

Yeah..... I actually bought this 7.3 and the 6.0 that actually runs for..... $5,000. Is that a song? They are both ccsb 4x4 lariats. This 7.3 needs a right bed side, left two doors and tailgate. And other things.

Had to deal with the ol california smog on the 7.3 today. Really is a joke. But, went through my normal procedure of yanking the hydra, putting about 35 miles on, put the useless cat back on and drove to the smog shop. Forgot to hook my waste gate back up, so had to run to Napa to handle that real quick. Now time to get rid of the useless weight and put the lovely hydra back on!
