your transmission repair guy will thank you for that.

I didn't think there is an 80 tow tune, least not for my calibration code. I don't think I would tow in any of the economy tunes, I believe the economy advances the timing to try and get better mileage and not sure that would be a good thing under load.

I think I saw a post that Corey cncfab was towing a heavy skip loader in the 140 race tune doing just fine.

Did you happen to have around 1/4 tank of fuel? .

Ha. Nope. Full tank almost. Was really strange. No sputter or miss or anything. Just stopped. Fired it back up with no issues and drove it a couple miles and a couple of stops without a problem. Maybe I didnít get the pcb board clean enough when installing the Hydra?

Gonna keep it around town for a few days before going to far and see if I can reproduce it.

My transmission guy built my transmission to handle 10K 5th wheel that is in my F-250, now my F-350 DRW is only at 135K and is doing fine. I have 6.0L cooler's in each truck, and I have found a even better tranny guy right down the street (A1 Automotive) Chris builds race transmissions for the Lightning Truck and I've already talked with him about a bullet transmission for my dually.

The tow tunes change the shift point's keeping you in a better torque range, I don't trash on my truck's, and when towing I'm very easy when driving.

I always wondered if the tow tunes changes fueling though? I have a manual transmission and still had all the tow tunes, 2 economy times, the 2 performance tunes , the race and extreme ones. All were avaliable for my pcm code.

Follow up.... stalled 4 times in 15 miles. Put it into bypass and drove home no issues. Gonna pull the Hydra and double check everything.

I would say yes on fuel changes since you are shifting gears, I will try to remember when I see Bill too ask about tow tune's.

Hopefully it's just a contact issue with the PCM, I know over on Facebook Bill (PHP) has some new video's on cleaning and soldering you're PCM.

Have you ever change the CPS? Several year ago, there was a recall in them. That was the symptom. Shuts off unexpectedly, but will restart and run.

Tried cleaning more of the left over oil from the EBPV valve leak that covered the top of the transmission, it was amazing how it was shooting the oil all over the back side of the engine and transmission
