Well....I made it 30 miles to get get firewood for the house and shop, and I heard an odd noise dragging when I slowed down driving through a tiny farm town. So I pull off on a side street with the trailer and......my fuel tank was dragging on the road. I hurried up and ratchet strapped it up but it seemed rather light. It had a hole you could put 2 hands through. And yes, I had just topped the tank off with 30 gallons.

I did get my firewood though. Fortunately my trans builder Sam isn't far from me. So he went to my shop and got my trailer.

So...new Ford tank and the 60gal Titan are only a few dollars different.

Titan it is, and I suppose it's time to do the rest of the fuel mods I've been wanting to get done for the last 2yrs.

Here's a couple of decent daylight pics. Don't mind the carpet floormats, the old guy I bought it from said they go with the truck! lol

I gave it a quick wash and cleaned out the interior, and started giving it a thorough inspection. It needs a tie rod, and it appears the oil drain plug has a small leak around it, which I'm replacing with a Fumoto anyway. It also needs a radiator flush BADLY. Other than that, it's looking to be in awesome shape. Almost no rust, couple dings on the body, but it idles and runs great, and starts right up. Should make an awesome work truck.

If I get lockers they will be selectable no matter if in front or back or both. Looking at electric lockers if I do. Saw some good chains at Les Schwab for $136/pair, and was told due to the cams they use to lock them on, don't need any tensioners.

Nice truck,if I may make one suggestion...2000 Ford F-250/F-350/F-450/F-550 | Floor Mats - Laser measured floor mats for a perfect fit | WeatherTech.com or

(Weathertech doesn't make one for manual trans but I put em in my F350 and trimmed a little so the clutch pedal doesn't catch and I love em. I'm on a farm and have a teenager and they're in all my vehicles)
