08+ Tailgate

Does a tailgate off an 08+ superduty fit my 2000 F250? I replaced my mirrors with 08's and just had to slightly modify them but fit perfect.

Yes, I have an 08 gate on an 04.
All you have to do is change the hinge bracket on the pasanger side of the bed.

Not to be the search nazi, cause I really hate that chit when others say it

I have posted the driver's part number in a previous thread. It is a simple bolt on.

You don't need the hinge if you remove the torsion rod on the '08 and up tail gate.

I just did this job and the t-50 torx bolts are installed with locktite. I was swapping between two trucks, so I had double the work.
They were a bear to get out. I worked them back and forth with some pb blaster but heat would have helped a lot.

I have heard prices vary if you have the step included or not. 250-500 bucks from what I have seen.
