Verify to be sure, but I think its EL3Z-14B205-CRM. Looks like it discontinued, you may have to find one used.

Are the GEM’s programmed specifically for your truck by the VIN? Is there just one part number for my 01 F-250? If I buy one does it have to be programmed.
Just wanna make sure I get the right one.

Whoa, whoa, whoa,,,, there is No GEM in an '03.

AND, some '01's had GEMs, some did Not. Be sure you know what it is you're looking for. If you have a digital OD and a Trans Temp gauge in the cluster ('01's with the updated electrics had this like and '02 + above) you don't have a GEM but rather a VSM or nothing at all. If you don't have those upgrades then you Do have a GEM (located on the backside of the fuse box and often gets wet and acts-up from a windshield leak - make sure yours isn't just "wet").

GEMs do not need to be programmed from truck-to-truck, you just need the same model # to be compatible...

Came here to say this. Just wanted to reinforce that the part number must be exact. The last few characters indicate the functions that the unit provides so a different ending will plug in and some things will function, but not everything.

Ebay is usually the best place to find them. Or just put the part number into google and see what comes up
