Php Hydra chip

Anyone running one in an otherwise stock truck? What are your thoughts? Is it a big difference?

I'm not looking to hotrod or roll coal. Just looking for a more adult (well old guy) perspective.

I run mine on the 140hp setting all the time except when towing. i'm mostly stock except for what you see below. Better and more responsive right foot feel, better fuel mileage and a lot more fun to drive.

2000 7.3 4x4 CC, 210,000 miles.
Security: Ravelco (for the pro's), Viper (for the rookies), The Club 1100 Steering Wheel Lock (visual deterrent).

So it's a noticable difference? It's not about the money as $300 is nothing when it comes to diesel trucks. But y'all say the difference is worth it? I had a tps 6 position on my 95 and honestly I didn't notice much of a difference. It wasn't worth it.

You've posted quite a few times asking about programmers in different threads. Everyone has informed you the Hydra is a the safest, most noticeable, basically second to none chip for the 7.3l platform. The ts 6 pos chip has 15yr plus old tunes and very little support for them. It was probably a year or two before the php hydra basically pushed ts out of the game...

Your tunes will be vastly different with the hydra in comparison to the ts 6 pos chip; better, safer, (noticeable) power that you can get custom tunes for later on via email without having to remove it and mail it out like the 6 pos chip.

Sorry man, Just saw your post more than a few times asking the same question in different ways.

BUY THE HYDRA and enjoy the heck out of it lol...

I don't want to install guages. I'm not planning on hotrodding or towing anything heavier than my wife.

Then don't put any tuner or programmer on it. Just do an intake and exhaust upgrade and enjoy your truck.
