Heater core flow

Sorry, but Iíve been searching for two days now.

Does the heater core inlet come from water pump or passenger side block?

I'm not sure. Previous response removed.

I went out and looked. Now I'm sure. I did have it correct the first time.

The cyl head fitting is the outlet TO the heater.
The water pump fitting is the return FROM the heater.

Thanks DaveP. Seemed right to come from block hot to heat heater.

It could be either way. Hot water from the block will work. Maybe it comes from the pump and the pump keeps the water circulating through the heater core. Maybe a shop manual will have a diagram. It has circulate or the blower will cool it down.
