Php hydra installation

Hey everybody I had a question about installing the php hydra on my 2002 7.3. It already has a small program on it and was wondering do I need to flash it back to stock before putting the hydra on there? Thanks!

Yes, definitely flash it back to stock before adding a chip. “Stacking” tuners is a bad idea, a recipe for a smoked transmission or blown engine, if it even runs right at all

It doesn't matter what has been programmed on the PCM the Hydra chip will override it. You can't stack chips/programmers on a 7.3 like you can on a Cummins the electronics work differently.
