Help Early99 7.3 trouble finding lift kits
Hey guys. So I have my early 1999 f250 7.3 auto ecsb. When i bought the truck I had no idea early 99s had different parts and were hard/confusing to find...

So all the manufactures that used to sell Early 1999 f250 lift kits dissapeared or no longer in stock. I currently have an early 99 lift kit 6.5 inch by Pro comp installed by PO a long time ago. Definitely rides rough and real bumpy. Will new shocks fix/help this? I am worried when I need to replace worn suspension parts it will be impossible to find. Guys please help becuase I am not a mechanic and I find it so difficult even trying to find a lift kit for early 99s or suspension parts online

theres 2 here for a 6" lift on an E99. both state "Production date before 3-1-1999"

If you have a pro comp lift from the original owner, have you called them and spoken with an actual person about your issues before resorting to this?

Hey, buddy
What exactly are you trying to accomplish? Is the lift too much/too high, is it a better/softer ride you're after, is something broken that you want to repair, etc.?

Did you look at BDS? When you add the lifts to cart and go through the options it asks if you have an E99 or not to give you the right parts.

Thanks bud now that i just bought new nitto 37x13.5x20 for over 1700 bucks with labor i have no choice lol. Honestly the problem is it rides so harsh every little bump is big. Everyone that rides in my truck say gosh dang it rides rough. I called tough country they said run all new bilstein 5100 shocks and tough countru dual stabilizer bars and Even can do new front leaf springs if still harsh.

OK cool; so you want to a softer ride. Can't blame you there. Sucks to get beat up for just riding a round. John Galt, Rough Country, Horizon122, and CloverLeafFarm all gave you good advice. You could always call Pro-Comp back as well and see what they have to say. Ultimately, springs and shocks are what controls the stiffness of your ride. It's been argued which has a greater effect on stiffness of ride but they both play a part. Early 99's have some differences than they later trucks and some parts are harder to source but, with a little bit of patience and research, you should be able to source what you need.

well, there is a reason its called "rough" country... there is also a reason the entire world only uses leaf springs in the rear on trucks.

Getting a smooth ride is like going fast, you get what you pay for.
