Question Torque Pro & Car Guage Pro questions

So I very recently acquired these 2 apps along with an OBDLink LX and am trying to get familiar with these tools so when I need them I have some knowledge. ( notice I say some, lol)

1st pic- is CGP after a complete scan it gives me this message and not sure why

2nd pic- was CGP before clearing all codes

3rd pic- is CGP after clearing all codes and driving about 50 miles

4th pic- is a Torque Pro scan.... no codes ?

Why do I get codes on one app and not the other ?

Should I be concerned about the codes I am getting ?

Thanks in advance

Thanks for the link AgTires.
I've read through 52 pages so far and think I'll be needing stronger glasses now, lol.
I know you have a lot invested in that thread so can you tell me if anyone had luck pulling codes with torque ?
That was a big reason for my original question.

CGP wants the MX version of the adapter which is more $.

If you have a chip installed oftentimes codes aren't accurate.

I thought OBDLink 'MX' version was for vehicles '03 and up.
Am I wrong ?

I do have a Hydra running canned PHP tunes.
So my codes are not accurate ?

I need more input ......

Thanks

Glad you made it through all of that LOL

I've used the codes pulled and have come up with diagnoses that I'm able to use. It's been over the past few years so I can't remember what specifically but the most recent was the OD light flashing. Torque was able to specify the code, decipher it and tell me that I had a bad connection from the column shift to the trans electrical input.

I do feel like when I pulled codes with Torque, it did a few weird things. A couple times it disconnected right at the end of the code reading, 1 time I heard a bunch of relays click, CEL comes one, have a ton of codes with no start. Key off, then back on and back to normal. I read where peopels truck would turn off when reading codes and would restart until the key was cycled. I feel like that was the problem I had, just the motor was already off.

I did get it to work a few times though. Not sure what is going on there.

Imho torque is better for monitoring and CGP is better for diagnostics.

This is what I'm leaning towards, but spending more time with these will give me my final conclusion.
