Injectors

Has anyone had to replace all 8 injectors at one time on 2000 F450 with 7.3.
Power is way off. Thoughts.
None of them have ever been replaced. Miles 221,550

Replace the ones you need - do a buzz test. If it were me, 200k is pretty much tired for anything and sensors on the motor - I would replace them all.

edit: I would do some soul searching about now and see if the beast is worth it(yes its worth it) for some 160/30 sticks. There's a set on here for sale that I saw the seller wants $1600+ for stock sticks and I kinda chuckled inside. New set of 160/30 @cncfab is around that much. Tuner is another $300 (i think he's having a special for $275)

While they are may be getting tired at 200k they should have some miles left.

Usually a 200k truck has boost or exhaust leaks.
And a few bad sensors. especially Icp

I had 200 in mine and the other had 400 lol. I still say 200 is worn to chit but hey, I rolled the dice and the OP is welcomed to do the same.

The way I look at it is if one starts to take a dip south - it must be either bad or something made it bad (poor oil/debris/crap ⛽️) , I won’t chance it so I upgraded to 160/30. Eventually more will go bad and it’s a pain to change injectors if you’re changing one at a time. If they were all good - roll with it till one or three goes bad.

New to these trucks. Can someone point me in the direction of an article or info on what the injector numbers mean?? I.e. 160/30? Etc.

160 is the amount of fuel. 160 cc’s of fuel per 1000 injections. The 30 is the % over the stock nozzle. So 30% larger holes vs the stock hole size in the injector tip. The stock size is 140/0 if I remember correct.

Here is a thread to help pick injectors and what you can do with the different sizes.

Edit. Stock is 135. Also stock is a split shot injector which means it does an initial shot and then the main shot per injection cycle. Most aftermarket ones are single shot which just does one shot per cycle.
