Need advice please on what to do..

My Turbo Pedestal O-ring (Small) fell into the Hole next to it while upgrades..

I need help...

I donno....

I'm going to assume that the larger hole is the Return (drain back into sump). So, what's going to happen to that sm O-ring? Where's it going to end-up that's harmful?

Interesting problem, retrieving would be best of course but I'm not sure I'd panic if you couldn't

Doesn't that large hole return to the pan? That o-ring will just float around in the crankcase doing no harm.

get something to fish it out or take the pedestal completely off turn it over n shake it out, ya definitely don't want it going into your pan because after awhile it will break down and could possibly start clogging your pick up tube.

I gotta tell ya,,,,, I can't make sense of that...

#1 O-rings tolerate oil & heat really well. I don't see there being any "break down" of the material (it's not like there's any pressure involved like the ones he's replacing)

#2 It's far too big to get past the pick-up screen and its profile is pretty small even if it got sucked onto that screen (not going to have any effect on flow).

I sill say, don't see any consequence of a small O-ring remaining in the pan

It 100% will swell up and break down, it takes time don't get me wrong but I literally just did and oil pan the other day that we found the old dipstick adapter oring inside swollen and broken down
