Transmission Codes from Ford

Codes are P0781, P0720, P0722
*Service rep stated he needs another $150 to drop the trans pan and inspect further, and the truck in his experience likely needs a new trans?
*I tow only camping trailers and that is only 2 to 4 times a year. Otherwise light use and transportation.

*Is a factory Ford rebuilt trans crap?
*Should I only go with Sam Wyse or a couple other builders known to do good work?
*Based on these codes is it likely lunched....254,000 miles??

Here are the codes:
1) What Does Code P0781 Mean? OBD II fault code is defined as ď1-2 Shift MalfunctionĒ and is set when the PCM (Powertrain Control Module) detects a malfunction or abnormality in the hydraulic (or sometimes electrical) circuit that controls gearshifts between first and second gear on fully automatic transmissions.

2) The P0720 code is a standard OBD-II trouble code that detects an issue with the output speed sensor circuit. The powertrain control module (PCM) relies on a signal from the output speed sensor, so that it can determine the correct shift strategy and send that information to the transmission.

3) The P0722 OBD-II trouble code is associated with the Transmission Output Speed Sensor. When the Powertrain Control Module (PCM) detects a malfunction within the Output Speed Sensor Circuit a wide variety of codes can be triggered depending on the specific vehicle and the specific automatic transmission.

New to PUs, New to Diesel, New to Ford, but been around a long time now!!

Sam Wyse is supposed to be a nice unit but the Ford warranty is hard to beat ( 3 yr unlimited mile and availability and warranty is nationwide)

they use a large company called ALMA and they test every unit

I have had one of their 5r110for a few years

The Ford Reman tranny I got was for my Explorer, but as ZMANN said, it's hard to beat the 3yr unlimited mileage warranty. Everywhere else I checked was 1yr 12k at best.
