Electrical Malfunction

After initial start, usually within 5 or 10 minutes of driving, the engine shuts down, tachometer goes to zero, cruise control shuts of... Its as if I've turned the ignition off and back on again. If I've got 1000 rpm or more it shuts off and restarts in less than a second. If I'm idling I have to crank it over to restart it... I'm puzzled... Ideas ???

CPS?

Any check engine light?

Also check battery terminals. Any dirty or loose connections will give you problems.

The new CPS did it ! Starts faster. Idles smoother. Runs down the highway smoother and a bit quieter. Better throttle response. I'm guessing I may even get a little better fuel milage. 🙂
