Fuel regulator

Hi everyone. I have a 1994 7.3 powerstroke. I need to replace the fuel regulator and since i pulled the fuel filter housing out i thought about doing away with all of that except the fuel pump. What fuel filter and what fuel regulator should i use with the factory pump still on it?

JMO, but if I were to use the factory pump I would go back with a factory filter bowl/regulator (about $274 for the whole enchilada from Riff Raff Diesel Performance). I think plumbing in an aftermarket filter and regulator would be more trouble than it's worth. Having said that, if you were to go with an aftermarket filter and regulator, then I would just go to an electric fuel system (many different setups, from DIY to aftermarket). Cheers!
