Valve cover pigtail harness

Hey I've looked around a bit and couldn't find anyone that had a legitimate write up or pictures on how to wire new pigtails in for the valve cover gaskets. Obviously the new pigtail colors don't match. Attached is what I have.

I would do it wire by wire, keeping positions the same. Solder and heat shrink only for me, stagger the joints to cut down on the bulk (don't want all the joints in the same location). Cheers!

So as long as the clip faces up, moving left to right should match everything up correctly. What is the exposed wire looped in? And thanks for the tip

Yes, as long as the clips are in the same position and the wires are in the same order you should be fine. The exposed wire is (my guess) is probably there for electromagnetic interference suppression (the injector wiring, the middle 3 wires, are carrying pulsed high voltage DC). Cheers!

Yes I do it exactly like Patrick said one wire at a time, I cut the old plug off as close to the plug as I can just so I have plenty of wire for mistakes and or replacement again at another date.
